Shipping & Processing Information

Shipping Carriers

We offer FREE shipping on all orders within the United States. Orders are typically shipped using UPS. However, USPS may be used for remote areas, PO Boxes, Alaska, Hawaii, and certain other locations.

International customers may select their preferred shipping carrier and service during checkout.

Precut Window Tint Kit Processing Time

Precut Window Tint Kits are custom made-to-order products cut specifically for your vehicle and selected options.

Most precut kit orders require approximately 1-3 business days for processing, production, quality inspection, packaging, and shipment preparation after purchase.

During holidays, sales events, peak seasons, or periods of high order volume, processing times may occasionally require additional business days.

Window Tint Roll Processing Time

Most Window Tint Roll orders ship within 1 business day after purchase. Depending on current order volume and time of year, processing may occasionally require an additional business day.

Business Days

Federal Holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays are not considered business days.

Tracking Information

Tracking information is automatically emailed once your order has been processed, packaged, and scheduled for carrier pickup.

Tracking may not update immediately after the email is received. Tracking updates begin once the carrier scans the package into their distribution system.

Signature Confirmation

Certain orders may require signature confirmation upon delivery. This may depend on order value, delivery location, order history, or fraud prevention measures.

Address Accuracy

Customers are responsible for providing a complete and accurate shipping address during checkout. Northern Tint is not responsible for orders shipped to incorrectly entered or invalid addresses.

Delivered But Not Received

If tracking shows a package as delivered but you have not received it, please contact the shipping carrier directly and file a missing package claim using the carrier's tracking system.

Once the carrier completes and approves the investigation, replacements or refunds may be issued if applicable.

Carrier Delays

Shipping carriers occasionally experience delays that are outside of our control. This is especially common during holidays, severe weather, and peak shipping periods.

USPS delays may occasionally extend delivery times significantly even after packages have shipped.


Orders, Changes & Cancellations

Custom Made-To-Order Products

Many of our products are custom manufactured specifically for each customer order. Because production begins quickly after purchase, order changes or cancellations may not be possible once production has started.

Customer Responsibility

Customers are responsible for verifying all vehicle information, product selections, shade selections, quantities, and shipping details before submitting an order.

Vehicle Information Requirements

Orders missing important vehicle information such as year, body style, cab configuration, or other required details may be delayed or canceled until the necessary information is provided.

Order Changes

If production has not yet started, requested order changes may still be possible. Once production begins, modifications may no longer be available.

Order Cancellation Requests

Orders canceled before production begins may qualify for a refund. Once production has started on custom products, cancellations may not be possible.

Fraud Prevention

For security purposes, certain orders may require additional verification before production begins.

Orders flagged by fraud prevention systems may be canceled and refunded if payment verification cannot be completed.

Order Refusal Rights

Northern Tint reserves the right to refuse, cancel, or limit orders at our discretion for reasons including suspected fraud, abusive behavior, repeated refund abuse, chargeback abuse, threatening communication, or product misuse.


Returns, Refunds & Exchanges

Window Tint Rolls

Returns for Window Tint Rolls are only accepted on unopened, full 100-foot rolls.

We do NOT accept returns on partial rolls, short rolls, opened rolls, used rolls, custom-cut material, or installed film.

Returns or exchanges must be requested within 30 days of delivery.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable. Returned or canceled orders may also be subject to restocking or service fees.

Precut Window Tint Kits

Precut Window Tint Kits are custom-cut specifically for each order and are considered non-returnable once produced.

Returns or refunds are only available if Northern Tint made an error with the order.

Incorrect, Damaged, or Missing Items

If you believe you received an incorrect, damaged, defective, or incomplete order, please contact us and provide clear photos showing the issue.

Photos are required so the issue can be reviewed and resolved appropriately.

Installation Acceptance Clause

Installing any portion of the film confirms the customer has inspected and accepted the product condition, pattern accuracy, and film quality.

Film that has been installed, peeled, shrunk, trimmed, damaged, contaminated, folded, creased, or altered during installation is not eligible for return or replacement unless a manufacturing defect is confirmed.


Installation & Handling Information

Professional Installation Recommended

Automotive window tint installation requires skill, patience, specialized tools, and experience. Northern Tint strongly recommends professional installation for best results.

Northern Tint is not responsible for installation damage, glass damage, contamination, creases, tearing, peeling, shrinking mistakes, handling errors, or installation-related damage.

DIY Installation Risk Acknowledgement

Customers choosing self-installation accept the risks associated with DIY automotive window tint installation.

Installation mistakes do not indicate product defects.

Inspect Film Before Installation

Please inspect all film carefully before installation. Do not install film that appears damaged, defective, incorrect, or contaminated.

Heat Shrinking

Many rear windows and curved windows require heat shrinking during installation.

Failure to properly heat shrink film may result in fingers, bubbles, creases, lifting, or installation failure. These conditions are installation-related and are not considered product defects.

Defroster Lines & Dot Matrix Areas

Certain factory dot matrix patterns, ceramic frit borders, and defroster line areas may naturally prevent complete adhesion or perfectly smooth appearance.

This is a characteristic of the vehicle glass and not a film defect.

Film Curing

Haze, moisture pockets, cloudiness, and small water bubbles are normal during the curing process and typically disappear over time.

Installation Environment

Film should not be installed in windy, dirty, contaminated, or uncontrolled environments.

Dust, lint, fibers, hair, fingerprints, debris, and contamination introduced during installation are not considered product defects.

Cold Weather Installation

Cold temperatures may affect film flexibility, adhesive behavior, and installation difficulty. Installation should be performed within recommended temperature ranges.


Vehicle Fitment Information

OEM Glass

Our precut patterns are designed using OEM factory glass specifications.

Vehicles equipped with aftermarket, dealer-installed, or replacement glass may experience fitment differences.

Vehicle Variations

Vehicle manufacturers occasionally make production changes within the same model year.

Certain vehicles may contain different glass styles, sensors, cameras, trim packages, antennas, or defroster layouts that may affect fitment.

Minor Trimming

Due to normal manufacturing variations in vehicle glass, minor trimming or adjustments may occasionally be required.

Side Window Fitment

Small edge gaps may be intentionally designed into certain patterns to improve installation performance and long-term durability.

Side window pieces may also appear slightly oversized so the film can be tucked behind weather seals during installation.

Pre-Shrunk Film

Precut kits are not pre-shrunk. Window tint must be heat shrunk directly on the exact vehicle glass during installation for proper fitment.


Ordering Information & Custom Requests

Tint Shade Requests

Please include requested tint shades during checkout using the notes or comments section.

Mixed shade combinations may be available when requested before production begins.

Mirror Cutouts

Certain windshield and visor products may include mirror cutouts upon request.

Support Requests

Customers contacting support regarding fitment or installation concerns may be required to provide photos, videos, vehicle information, installation details, and order information.

Failure to provide requested information may limit our ability to process support requests.


Legal Compliance

Customers are responsible for complying with all local, state, and federal window tint laws and regulations.

Northern Tint is not responsible for unlawful installation or use.

Labor Cost Disclaimer

Northern Tint is not responsible for installation labor costs, removal costs, reinstallation costs, shop downtime, travel expenses, or third-party service charges.

Warranty Limitation

Northern Tint's maximum liability shall never exceed the original purchase price of the product.

Chargeback Fraud Protection

Northern Tint maintains detailed production, shipment, delivery, tracking, and communication records which may be provided during payment dispute investigations.

Fraudulent chargebacks may be disputed with supporting documentation.

Communication Conduct Policy

Northern Tint reserves the right to discontinue communication or refuse service to customers engaging in harassment, threats, abusive language, fraudulent claims, or excessive spam communication.
